Security and advanced controls
When it comes to thermal testing on batteries, safety is paramount. The chambers are equipped with safety systems tailored to customer requirements, such as EUCAR level. Examples of safety systems include multi-parameter monitoring, temperature sensors, smoke and gas detection systems, and nitrogen inerting devices. If a risk is detected, alarm and automatic extinguishing systems are activated to protect users and equipment.
Flexibility and modularity
Environmental test chambers are available in volumes ranging from a few m3 to several m3, with modular or monobloc structures for easy installation. They cover a temperature range from -90°C to +220°C, making it possible to simulate extreme conditions and carry out thermal tests on prolonged cycling batteries, right up to the eventual destruction of the cells.
